Origin and Traceability: Nariño

Nariño, in southwestern Colombia, is not a department widely known for its coffee production, contributing only around 2–3% of the national coffee. However, its coffee is of very high quality, with cups scoring over 85 points, which qualifies it as specialty coffee, and it is the only origin we carry at Oscura Tentación Coffee.

The altitude of its crops, exceeding 1,800 meters above sea level, along with the cool climate and mineral-rich volcanic soils, allows the beans to ripen slowly. This prolonged process concentrates sugars and aromatic compounds, resulting in an exceptional sensory profile: smooth body, bright acidity, and floral and fruity notes. In Nariño, coffee is grown primarily in municipalities such as La Unión, Túquerres, and San Pablo, where generations of coffee-growing families work using traditional methods and pass down knowledge that guarantees the quality of the beans.

Some of the varieties we offer come from San Pablo, with profiles ranging from sweet and mild coffees to intense and fruity coffees, always reflecting the richness of the land and climate.

Nariño coffee is an expression of tradition, altitude and dedication, and at Oscura Tentación Coffee we are proud to bring it directly to your cup, offering a unique experience that connects with the passion of those who cultivate it.
